Eastern Mongolia’s vast green steppe is famous for not only its pristine nature but also for Chinggis Khaan, the person of the millennium whose empire occupied half of the World in the 13th Century. For this reason there are plenty of exciting historical sites related to the Great Mongol Empire and Chinggis Khaan such as the birthplace of Great khaan, Khukh lake where Temuujin was entitled as a Khaan of Mongolia, Onon Lake – the place Chinggis Khaan established Great Mongol Empire and others.

GUIDE
A Chinese, English or Russian speaking Mongolian guide will accompany the group at all times. The guide will be a native Mongolian person with great local knowledge who can deal with any requests and ensure that your holiday to become one of the most unforgettable experiences of your life.
TRANSPORT
This trip you have a two choice. First one is a highest level, latest model, air-conditioned private 4WD vehicles for the maximum comfort on your touring days. And second choice is Russian 4x4 Van. Also with 20 years’ experience drives.
MEALS
In Mongolia, you will be dining at fine American, European and Asian cuisine restaurants. Mutton, beef, rice and noodles form the basis of the Mongolian diet, so your meals will be based around this. However, the trail rations may include vegetables, eggs, peanut butter, cheese and sometimes yak! On some days there will be lunchboxes from our cook.
PERSONAL THINGS TO BRING WITH YOU
Warm thin layers of clothing are the best such as bring a rain jacket, gloves and hiking booth. Don’t forgot first aid kit (medicine for headache, cold, diarrhea, runny nose; bandages; any medicine prescribed for you). All your camera equipment.

Day 1 - Ulaanbaatar capital city of Mongolia

Pick you up our driver and guide from Chinggis Khan international airport. Drive to Your hotel. Visit local outdoor market /bazaar/, Gandan Monastery and Mongolia national museum. Evening Leisure day in Ulaanbaatar city. Over night at Hotel

Day 2 - Chinggis khan statue complex and Khukh nuur /Blue lake/

In the morning our guide & driver will pick you up from your accommodation and start excursion to Khukh Nuur. On the way we will visit to “Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex” which is currently the biggest (40m high) equestrian statue in the world. We will visit there 13th century museum of Great Mongol Empire and Bronze Age Museum respectively and drive around 260 km to reach the Senguur Gorkhi valley and Khukh Nuur, where Temuujin ( Great khaan’s childhood name) was given the title, “Chinggis Khaan”, and was invested as a “The Great Khaan of all Mongolia” in 1189. The stone ruins of a Ger with a diameter of 15 meters on the south side of this lake could be the ruins of the palace Ger where Chinggis Khaan was proclaimed khaan. There are also wooden statues in the forest dedicated to Chingis Khaan and the next 32 khaans of Mongolia. The surrounding area of Khukh Nuur is quiet, peaceful and wonderful for hiking & relaxation. Day 3 - Bereeven monastery and Binder village

After breakfast, drive to Binder soum. En route visit to Bereeven monastery, established in 17 th century by the order of Zanabazar. The Baldan Bereeven Monastery was built taking into consideration its distant observation, the direction of wind and the sunshine. The setting of the monastery is unique in that it takes into account the ancient geomancies of shamanistic Central Asian tradition as well those of Vajrayana Buddhism of Tibet to create a Mongolian Buddhist cultural landscape for nomadic people. The phenomenon of Baldan Bereeven Monastery was conceived with the intention of creating in Mongolia the similar Buddhist monastic places as in Lumbini, the birthplace of the Lord Buddha to which access for pilgrims was difficult and far away from Mongolia. Continue our way to Oglogch fortress, which is one of the most important historical places in Mongolia which date back to the time of Chinggis Khaan. Mongolia – American archaeological team identified at least 60 ancient graves within the walls, indicating that it may have been a royal cemetery. The wall is 2.5-3m high, 2.5m wide and approximately 3km long. Arrive in camp, dinner and free time. Overnight in Ger camp.

Day 4 - Deluun Boldog, Birth place of Chinggis Khan

In the morning, continue the tour to Deluun boldog, legendary birthplace of Chinggis Khaan. For his 800 th birthday, a statue of Ghinggis Khaan was erected in 1962 at Deluun Boldog; a place believed to be the great khaan’s birthplace, close to what is today Dadal soum, an attractive wooded area in North-west Khentii region. The area contains trails and lakes for visitors as well as monuments where you can learn why this fierce warrior and great leader is still revered today. Dadal Sum once housed one of three great lamaist temples consecrated to Chingghis Khaan, but which was razed in the 1930s. Now there are stone monuments to him erected in the surrounding beauty of the Mongolian countryside. Overnight in Ger camp.

Day 5 - Chinggis city, Khentii province

Enjoy and explore surrounding, after lunch at camp drive to Chinggis town, the capital of Khentii province. Dinner and free time. Overnight in Ger camp.

Day 6 - Khuduu Aral, Avarga Tosonii Rashaan

Continue our trip to Khuduu aral, where the great chronicle, the Secret History of Mongols was composed. This area is very famous with its pleasant pasture land, verified therapeutical mineral water of Avarga spring and Toson Lake, and rare animals and endemic plants and beautiful natural landscape. Khuduu Aral and Surrounding Cultural Landscape is the cradle land of the Mongolian Empire. The Avargiin Balgas (Ruins of Avarga) – ancient ruins, formerly called Ikh Aurug Ordo (Great Aurug Palace) was a main palace, built during the Chinggis Khaa’s time, is located at the Khuduu Aral. It was not only the palace of Chinggis Khaan, but also the place where some of his successors were enthroned and was political and economic center of the Great Mongolian Empire during its first stage. Day 7 - Gun Galuut nature reserve

After breakfast, drive to Gun Galuut Nature Reserve. A visit to the Gun-Galuut Nature Reserve is a treat for wildlife enthusiasts and for anyone who appreciates the truly extraordinary landscapes Mongolia offers up. Mountains, rivers, lakes, and wetlands provide a unique and varied habitat for some of the world’s most rare and endangered species. The Argali or Wild Mountain sheep, with its characteristic curly horns, has a protected home here, as does the Siberian White Crane which summers on the reserve’s Ayaga Lake. There is also the opportunity to enjoy a range of optional activities in this beautiful setting, including horse and camel riding, fishing, kayaking, cycling and archery. We will visit to local nomadic family to experience the lifestyle in the country side, which has not changed for centuries. You can learn their daily duties and if you wish you can participate as well. Also, we will do some horse riding activity with support of family man. Overnight in Ger camp.

Day 8 - Gorkhi-Terelj national park via Ulaanbaatar city

In the morning, drive to Terelj NP, which is one of the most visited national parks in Mongolia. You can see the extraordinary formation of rocks and stones, some of them look quite similar to turtles. After lunch, visit to see Turtle Rock and Ariyabal meditation temple, which is surrounded by scenic mountains with interesting rock formations and sits at top of the mountain. Late afternoon drive back to Ulaanbaatar and you will be transferred to your accommodation. End of the tour.
