Mongolian winter is the most incredible winter that one might experience and there is plenty to see and enjoy during a winter travel. Glittering white snow, clear fresh air, sun, and little chills are the image of Mongolian winter. Taking this fantastic winter tour, you will meet the real Mongol nomads and spend some time in their warm ger and enjoy some wonderful hikes and horse riding at Terelj National park. Average temperatures will be in between -20°C to – 40°C degrees, therefore you need right clothing for that.

GUIDE
A Chinese, English or Russian speaking Mongolian guide will accompany the group at all times. The guide will be a native Mongolian person with great local knowledge who can deal with any requests and ensure that your holiday to become one of the most unforgettable experiences of your life.
TRANSPORT
This trip you have a two choice. First one is a highest level, latest model, air-conditioned private 4WD vehicles for the maximum comfort on your touring days. And second choice is Russian 4x4 Van. Also with 20 years’ experience drives.
MEALS
In Mongolia, you will be dining at fine American, European and Asian cuisine restaurants. Mutton, beef, rice and noodles form the basis of the Mongolian diet, so your meals will be based around this. However, the trail rations may include vegetables, eggs, peanut butter, cheese and sometimes yak! On some days there will be lunchboxes from our cook.
PERSONAL THINGS TO BRING WITH YOU
Warm thin layers of clothing are the best such as bring a rain jacket, gloves and hiking booth. Don’t forgot first aid kit (medicine for headache, cold, diarrhea, runny nose; bandages; any medicine prescribed for you). All your camera equipment.

Day 1 - Ulaanbaatar capital city of Mongolia

Pick you up our driver and guide from Chinggis Khan international airport. Drive to Your hotel. Visit local outdoor market /bazaar/, Gandan Monastery and Mongolia national museum. Evening Leisure day in Ulaanbaatar city. Over night at Hotel

Day 2 - Karakorum and Erdene Zuu via Elsen Tasarkhai sand dunes

We will pick you up from your accommodation and start our tour directly driving to Elsen Tasarkhai sand dune for 250 kms. Elsen Tasarkhai sand dune is located at the Khogno Khan Nature Reserve, beautiful splendid mountains, and surrounding area represents two or three natural zones. A hour camel trekking with support of local camel man through the golden sand dunes. Continue travel to Karakorum, the ancient capital of Mongol Empire in the 13 th century. After the move of Mongolian capital to Beijing, and the fall of the empire, Karakorum was abandoned and then destroyed by vengeful Manchurian soldiers in 1388. Today, in the wide valley of the Orkhon River, awe-inspiring ancient monastery Erdenezuu coexists with Kharkhorin town.

Day 3 - Hustai Nuruu national park

Drive to Hustai National Park which is the site of re-introduction scheme of Przewalski’s horse, by Mongolian’s called Tahki. It became extinct in the wild in the 1960’s, and since 1992 has been successfully re – introduced to Hustai and other parts of Mongolia, from zoos around the world. Arrive at Hustai National Park, and leisure hiking in the surrounding mountains while you searching to see wild horse Takhi. Continue our way to Nomad family, which they live just outside National Park. Arrive at nomad family, meet the family members, then rest of the day you will spend to learn and to experience nomad people’s daily lifestyle and duties and helping & cooking Mongolian authentic dish with help of hostess etc. Also, we will do some horse riding through the breathtakingly beautiful areas and our horseriding activity suitable from beginners to advanced riders.

Day 4 - Gorkhi-Terelj national park via Chinggis Khan statue complex and Ulaanbaatar city

First, we will drive to Terelj National Park for 80 km. It’s one of the most visited national parks in Mongolia. You can see the extraordinary formation of rocks and stones, some of them look quite similar to turtles. We will see Turtle Rock and visit Ariyabal meditation temple, which is surrounded by scenic mountains with interesting rock formations and sits at top of the mountain. The distance between the gate and the actual temple is about 1 km and it is only accessible by walking. Continue travel to Chinggis Khaan Monument. This statue, showing Chinggis Khaan (1162-1227) with a golden whip in his right hand gazing into the distance, has been erected at the Tsonjin Boldog site connected to many historic events in the territory of Erdene soum in Tov aimag, 54 km from Ulaanbaatar. The haughty and yet honorable statue is surrounded by 36 columns representing 36 Mongolian Khaans. The entire edifice is covered in 250 tons of steel. Visitors will ascend to the exhibition hall using an elevator at the back of the horse and will walk to the horse’s head passing through its chest and the back of its neck from where they will have an excellent panoramic view over the complex area and the scenery beyond. Tour will continue to Ulaanbaatar, arrival and end of the tour.
