SHORT DESCRIPTION
This fishing adventure allows you to discover the wild rivers of northwestern Mongolia, under the expert guidance of our expedition leader, who will take you to the best fishing spots in Mongolia’s northernmost province, which shares a border with Siberia Russia to the north. This is a wonderful opportunity to take a relaxing, peaceful journey through some of Mongolia’s most impressive scenery in the far northwest. Fishing in Alag Tseel River and Darkhad valley. We will spend the day fishing in the river, surrounded by impressive snowy peaks. This valley is a paradise for bird watchers because of the number of lakes (more than 300). This small and slow-flowing river is also rich in graylings, lenoks, as well as surprisingly large taimen. Fishing in Shishgid and Tengis rivers, a fly fisher’s paradise, where your guide will be able to direct you to the best spots for Siberian salmon, Armour River pikes, burbots, lenok, grayling, and taimen. The taimen is known as the ‘giant trout of Asia,’ and can grow up to 6 feet! Get creative making those flies – Taimen has been known to eat rats and ground squirrels!

ESSENTIALS
GUIDE
A Chinese, English or Russian speaking Mongolian guide will accompany the group at all times. The guide will be a native Mongolian person with great local knowledge who can deal with any requests and ensure that your holiday to become one of the most unforgettable experiences of your life.
TRANSPORT
This trip you have a two choice. First one is a highest level, latest model, air-conditioned private 4WD vehicles for the maximum comfort on your touring days. And second choice is Russian 4x4 Van. Also with 20 years’ experience drives.
MEALS
In Mongolia, you will be dining at fine American, European and Asian cuisine restaurants. Mutton, beef, rice and noodles form the basis of the Mongolian diet, so your meals will be based around this. However, the trail rations may include vegetables, eggs, peanut butter, cheese and sometimes yak! On some days there will be lunchboxes from our cook.
PERSONAL THINGS TO BRING WITH YOU
Warm thin layers of clothing are the best such as bring a rain jacket, gloves and hiking booth. Don’t forgot first aid kit (medicine for headache, cold, diarrhea, runny nose; bandages; any medicine prescribed for you). All your camera equipment.

The Mongolian Altai Mountains, straddling the Russian and Chinese borders, are the tallest of the three major mountain ranges of Mongolia. Riddled with eternally snow-capped peaks and glaciers, they provide some of the most beautiful sights in Mongolia.
Many people think that Mongolia is the only nomadic country. But, we did have State, capital city and trade center. Karakorum was the ancient capital of Mongol Empire and main destination of the famous Silk Road.
The rivers and lakes of Bayan-Ulgii province are stocked full of trout, salmon, and other freshwater fish. Fly fishing and ice fishing are especially popular. All of Bayan-Ulgii drains into the Great Lakes depression of Mongolia, and is a self contained watershed.
